We're sorry to see you go. Here's how to remove your data.
If you're logged into StepCloser, you can delete your account instantly:
Go to the Settings tab in the app.
Scroll down and tap Privacy & Data to expand.
At the bottom, tap Delete Account.
Type DELETE to confirm. Your account and cloud data will be permanently removed immediately.
If you can't access the app or prefer to request deletion via email:
Email [email protected] with subject "StepCloser Account Deletion Request".
Include the email address associated with your StepCloser account.
We may ask you to verify your identity to protect your account.
We will delete your account within 30 days. You'll receive a confirmation email.
When you delete your account, the following will be permanently removed:
Aggregate team data: If you participated in team challenges, team totals are not retroactively recalculated. Your individual data is removed, but the team's historical aggregate may remain.
Additionally:
Data stored locally on your device (step history, completed walks, local achievements) is not affected by account deletion. To remove local data, uninstall the app or clear app data in your device settings.
Uninstalling the app removes local data but leaves your cloud account intact. You can reinstall and log back in.
Account deletion permanently removes your account and cloud data. This cannot be undone. You would need to create a new account to use StepCloser again.
